IINH became Ireland’s first nutrition college in September 2002. Richard Burton (CEO) and Maggie Lynch (Director of Cooking) are endlessly grateful to their dedicated team at the college, and to graduates in Ireland and across the world who are helping clients, friends and loved ones to enjoy good health and an improved quality of life. They are specially delighted to see so much more interest in healthy eating compared to 20 years ago.
In 2004 the IINH produced Ireland’s first Nutritional Therapists, and in 2013 it was the first college in Europe to offer a globally-recognised award in Nutrition & Health Coaching. With Health Coaching now the fastest growing health profession in the USA and Europe, our BTEC Diploma in Professional Nutrition & Health Coaching (level 6 Ireland) attracts students from across the world. It also offers a career path to higher qualifications, including Nutritional Therapy (level 8 Ireland) and Personalised Nutrition (MSc, via our partner college in UK).
The next BTEC Coaching course runs mid-September 2022 until June 2023. Learning materials are accessed 24/7 on the dedicated learning platform (Brightspace). About 10 hours per week of home study are required, supported by twice-weekly interactive Zoom sessions. Optional attendance days are held in Dun Laoghaire, and Maggie holds cooking classes in the Taste Health Kitchen in Shankill, Dublin.
